Josef Prusa has announced a new resin-based open source SLA 3D printer Prusa SL1. Earlier this year, Prusa acquired Futur3D, a Czech 3D printer company specializing in resin printing. With its team of 320 people the company aims to open source all the designs of resin based 3D printers starting with SL1.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2018, the ONO Team finally received the long-awaited UL certification for the latest redesign of the electronics board. Several months ago, an issue was found with the compatibility of the printer with some phones on the market. This prompted the team to go back to the drawing board and redesign the electronics to solve this problem, not only for the phones on the market today, but guard against the newer phones also being incompatible.
